At Energizer Holdings, Inc., Dan worked closely with the CEO and executive team, as well as the Board of Directors in shaping the financial course of the company. Dan Sescleifer led the efforts to analyze and report on the finances in the company to steer decisions on important acquisitions and corporate restructures.

Who is Dan Sescleifer?

Born in Springfield, Illinois in 1962, Dan Sescleifer grew up as a driven and motivated child. His parents were Arthur and Marthann Sescleifer. Arthur worked for United Service Agencies and Marthann was in the real estate business. He graduated from Southeast High School, where he was an enthusiastic member of the basketball team.

After high school, he left Illinois and moved to Indiana to go to the University of Notre Dame. He earned his bachelor of arts in economics in 1984. Just after receiving his undergraduate degree, Dan Sescleifer worked to get his master of business administration from the University of Illinois.

After the University of Illinois, Dan moved on to work for the Ralston Purina Company. He started as a treasury analyst and worked his way up in the company, eventually earning the position of senior international financial analyst. After Ralston Purina Company, he worked at Ralcorp Holdings as the vice president and treasurer for six years. Then he became the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Energizer Holdings before retiring in 2015.
